It’s that time, y’all! Halloween is over and the holiday season is upon us! For the next few weeks, I’ll be compiling gift guides to help ease the stress that comes along with the holidays so that you can enjoy all the festivities. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out!
Gift Ideas for the Travel Lover
We all have that friend. You know? The one who’s impossible to make plans with because they’re always out of town. I’m kicking off the holiday gift guide with gifts for the traveler for another reason too. It’s travel season and you might just see something on this list that you might want to ask Santa for yourself!
A Scratch Off Map
This is the perfect gift for anyone with travel dreams. There are US versions and global versions, but it’s a visual representation of where their travels have taken them. I think it also serves as inspiration to plan more trips! If you really want to get fancy with it, you can grab a frame. Just make sure it’s easy to take the map out or better yet, it’s glassless so they can keep on scratchin’!
In-Flight Cocktail Kits
We all know that unfortunately, airline travel isn’t always the most pleasant. You’re smushed, you’re delayed, you’re smelling unpleasant odors… It’s never perfect, but an in-flight gourmet cocktail could be the perfect travel antidote. Plus, the adorable packaging makes it the perfect gift for the frequent traveler! The Moscow Mule is my personal favorite, but if you can’t decide you could go with the 3 pack. For the champagne lover, try this cocktail kit.
A Travel Backpack
Backpacks are stylish again, which is great news for the frequent traveler. I’m loving Dagne Dover for their organized handbags, totes, and travel gear, so I obviously think the Dagne Dover 360 Dakota Neoprene Backpack would make the perfect gift. But the great thing about backpacks is that there are ones for every budget and every personality like this simple gray one or this cute leopard print one!
A Cord Organizer
This might sound hyperbolic, but getting an organizer for my various chargers and headphones was a game changer. It was so much easier to keep track of things and it led to far fewer (though not none, to be honest) leaving the charger behind mishaps. It’s something a lot of people don’t think about, but is the perfect gift for anyone who ever spends a night somewhere other than home. They sell them in various sizes and some even accommodate tablets, like this one.
Noise Cancelling Headphones
I’m not gonna lie. These are usually a pretty big investment, so you’ll need to really like the person you’re buying these for. I actually bought these for my boyfriend, but somehow I always end up wearing them when we fly. Talk about a boomerang gift! But when I turn them off, the roar of the plane feels so loud, so whoever you gift these Bose QuietComfort Noise Cancelling Headphones for will love you forever. I use the wired version, but they come in wireless as well.
I love giving and getting experiences as gifts. There’s just something so thoughtful and exciting about it. And the best part is they make the best gifts for those people who just seem to have everything. But an experience can be hard to give. You generally don’t have all the details of someone’s schedule and it can be hard to coordinate. These gift cards from Tinggly come in super cute packaging that anyone would be excited to open. And it’s super flexible. The recipient can pick out the experience of their choice and schedule for when it’s convenient. You can even let them know which experience you think they might like to put in a little extra love, but ultimately the choice is theirs. I just love alternatives to stuff for a holiday gift.
Happy shopping! There are more gift guides to come, so subscribe to stay up to date and comment below if there are any gift guides you’re needing this holiday season!
