6 things to know about the new Hotel Alessandra

There’s a new hotel on the block called Hotel Alessandra. It’s downtown in the Green Street section, and it’s really pretty. Here are 6 things to know about the new Hotel Alessandra.

6 things to know about the new Hotel Alessandra in downtown Houston

1. Hotel Alessandra is classy AF

The rates are dynamic of course, but fiddling around on the website, I’m seeing the no-frills rooms starting in the $250-$300 a night range. Rest assured, you’ll feel fancy if you stay here.

2. Hotel Alessandra’s on-site restaurant, Lucienne could be a great fancy brunch spot.

Lucienne is adorable and strikes me as a fantastic place to brunch. It’s bright, the color scheme is warm. It’s not intimidating, and the crepe I had was perfectly thin, tasty, and not overdone with toppings.

3.  Hotel Alessandra is part of the Valencia Group.

If you’re familiar with Hotel Sorella, then you’ll have a frame of reference. Hotel Alessandra reminds me of Sorella, but a bit fancier. But that could just be because of the glow of brand-spank’ newness.

4. You can see into the shower from the bed.

On Thursday, you’ll find out about my anniversary staycation at the Mariott Marquis, but if you’re looking for a romantic staycation, that might not be a bad feature. But if you’re sharing a room with a coworker for a conference, you might want to be aware. It wasn’t apparent when we first walked in.

5.  There are some gorgeous views from the 21st floor.

I’ll let the pictures do the talking here.

6.   It’s open now

Right now their grand opening rates are available on their website and seem reasonable to me given the fanciness. I’m very tempted to book a room after taking a look around. If you’re looking for a holiday gift for someone you really like, you might want to consider reserving a room here. You might want to take a look at the packages they offer. Their dinner package includes a $200 gift card to Lucienne.
